Tomorrow I celebrate my 27th birthday and I couldn't be more excited about it. 26 was a very, very good year -- an engagement, a promotion, an exciting new project with the launch of She Says DC and a new direction for my blog. I challenged myself physically through yoga, dived into photography and spent countless good times with friends and family. I really could not have asked for more joy, accomplishment and discovery. Thank you for being a part of it, in your own way -- big or small-- by catching up with me here.
I'm already sensing that 27 will be a year of transitions and I can't wait to see what it brings. In a few days, I'll be jetting off to Aspen for some fresh air and peace. If I can find the time before then, I'd love to make this fantastic old-fashioned birthday cake from The Cilantropist. I'm obsessed with the Tiffany-blue frosting, edible gold stars and nostalgic birthday candles. Too cute.
